LAMPUNG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, held a “Temu Jago Bangunan” (Building Experts Gathering) event at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Bandar Lampung on Friday (17/10) with 50 local builders. This event demonstrates SMBR’s commitment to strengthening relationships with construction players while improving the competence of construction workers in its main marketing area.

The event was attended by Yantasman, Senior Manager of Sales for Southern Sumatra 2 at SMBR, who encouraged and motivated the participants to continuously improve their skills and professionalism.

“Through this “Temu Jago Bangunan” event, we want to share knowledge and experience regarding the correct use of Semen Baturaja products and ideal material mixing techniques in the field. We hope that the builders can produce more efficient, strong, and high-quality work,” said Yantasman.

During this event, participants participated in a product knowledge session and product demonstrations led by the SMBR team. They learned firsthand how to mix cement and sand in the correct proportions to create sturdy and durable buildings.

One of the laborers, Hari Kurniawan (37), a construction worker from Bandar Lampung, expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the activity. “The training was very beneficial, especially with the hands-on explanation of how to mix cement properly. This allowed us to learn the right proportions to ensure strong results and prevent cracking,” Hari said.

To boost the participants’ enthusiasm, SMBR also held an interactive quiz session with questions about products and construction techniques. Those laborers who answered correctly received prizes in the form of tools and souvenirs from SMBR as a token of appreciation and encouragement to continue learning and innovating in their work.

“We believe that laborers are the spearhead of a building’s quality. Therefore, Semen Baturaja will continue to support their skills development through training and activities like this to optimize construction results on the ground,” added Yantasman.

The Temu Jago Bangunan program is also in line with the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s Asta Cita, which emphasizes improving the quality of human resources and strengthening infrastructure development.

Through this activity, Semen Baturaja continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the improvement of human resource quality in the construction sector and strengthening synergy with laborers as important partners in building the nation. (*)
