SMBR Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the South Sumatra Regional Police to Secure National Vital Objects

PALEMBANG – In an effort to maintain a conducive security situation in operational activities and the company’s National Vital Object, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) signed a memorandum of understanding with the South Sumatra Regional Police on Wednesday (09/03) at the South Sumatra Police Headquarters.
The signing of this memorandum of understanding was carried out directly by SMBR President Director Jobi Triananda Hasjim and South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto.


The event was also attended by the main officials in the ranks of the South Sumatra Police Headquarters, the South Sumatra Regional Police PJU, while the SMBR management representatives were attended by the General Director and HR Amrullah, the Vice President Corporate Secretary Doddy Irawan, the HR & GA Vice President Fitria Margaretha and other staff.


“I hope that this collaboration and security assistance from the South Sumatra Police can increase synergy in terms of securing vital objects at SMBR.” Jobi said
Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the South Sumatra Regional Police can ensure the passage of security activities, anticipate potential disturbances and enforce law related to SMBR operational activities in the South Sumatra region.


SMBR itself has been registered as a national vital object of the industrial sector in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 466/M-IND/Kep/8/2014 so that the company’s industrial area deserves security protection.

Caring for Others, Semen Baturaja Provides Assistance to Victims of Collapsed Houses in Kertapati

PALEMBANG – Caring for Others, Semen Baturaja (SMBR) provided cash assistance to residents who were affected by a collapsed house accident in Kemang Agung Village, Kertapati District, Palembang City due to heavy rain accompanied by wind on Friday (4/3).

This assistance was handed over directly by the Dept. SMBR’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the head of the family he met at his house. It is hoped that the assistance provided can help ease the burden on residents affected by the disaster.{}

Support The Vaccination Program Of The National, Semen Baturaja, Together With Polda Sumsel Announced Aggressively “Keroyok Vaccination Covid-19”

PALEMBANG – In an effort to break the chain of Covid-19 through the Vaccination Program of the National, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMB) synergy with the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Police) Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) held a “Keroyok Vaccination Covid-19”.

This event was held at the headquarters of Semen Baturaja in Kertapati, Palembang City, which previous lasts for 5 Days from December 15 – 17, 2021 and subsequent continued on 20 to 21 December 2021 and then extended until December 31 December 2021 due to the high interest of the community to get Vaccinated Covid-19.

As for the type of vaccine that is injected namely Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac. Target Vaccination this is the general community categories of the elderly, adolescents and children aged 12 years and above. Dose provided as many as 5000 doses of the vaccine. This activity also for Participants Second Vaccine.

Activities vaccine this was attended by Kapolda Sumsel Irjen. Pol. Drs. Toni Harmanto, M.H and Director of General affairs & Human Resources SMBR Amrullah. The implementation of vaccination is a Collaboration between the SMBR with Polda Sumsel, as form of concern for the Health of the community as well as support government programs in an effort to provide immunity and increase Herd Immunity (Immunity Group) to break the Transmission of Covid-19.

Previous SMBR has held a Vaccination Program for Employees and the Community Common in Baturaja and Was the result of Collaboration of the Department of Health, Police and Police local. Semen Baturaja Distributes Oxygen to Pemkab OKU

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk help distribute oxygen tubes and mask as one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Government of District OKU on the home page office of the Regent of OKU (07/10)

Also present at the event, Assistant 1 Secretariat OKU, representing the Commander 0403/OKU, representing Kapolres OKU, Kalaks BPBD OKU, Sekdin Health OKU and Other invitees. The event was held to comply with the protocol Health.

The government of District OKU receive assistance 2000 masks and 25 oxygen tube that will be used for community in OKU District who are in need. This help is given because the government is experiencing problems over the limited availability of oxygen to the community.

HUT District OKU To 111, Semen Baturaja Channeling the Help of CSR to Pemkab OKU

BATURAJA – On Thursday (29/07) is celebrated as the Anniversary District Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) to -111 year. This year, the Governor of South Sumatra, H Herman Deru in particular a Working Visit in OKU District and reward the help of the infrastructure of Rp 52,5 billion.

This is the commitment of Herman Deru in the conduct of the acceleration of infrastructure development in all districts/cities in South Sumatra. The delivery of aid infrastructure is done after the Plenary Meeting DRPD XI District OKU Arts Building in Baturaja.

PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk as one of the factories that operate in OKU District also participated in the event. Represented by the Director of General affairs & Human Resources SMBR Amrullah and their staffs, also welcomed this day.

Semen Baturaja itself has been committed to helping OKU District in the activities of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the year, among others, the help of cement for the construction of Pondok Pesantren Modern Al Zikro Yellow Stone, the help of cement for the construction of Pondok Pesantren Modern Nur Ikhsan the Village of Maggots.

Kodim 0403 OKU titled “Vaccine Attack” With Semen Baturaja to Support Government Programs

BATURAJA  – Kodim 0403 OKU in collaboration with PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk held a “Vaccine Raid” held at Wisma Ganesha Baturaja Factory on Wednesday (04/07).

The target of this vaccination is the community in Kodim territory 0403 which includes 3 districts in OKU Raya. Semen Baturaja itself also gets a section for vaccination to employees. As many as 600 vaccines have been distributed with the help of the OKU Health Service in the implementation of vaccinations. The event also took place in a conducive manner by implementing strict health protocols.

The event was attended directly by Plh Regent of OKU Drs. H. Edward Candra, M.H., Dandim 0403 OKU Lt. Col. Arh Tan Kurniawan, S.A.P., M.I.Pol., OKU AKBP District Police Chief Arif Hidayat Ritonga, S.I.K., M.H., Director of Production and Development of Semen Baturaja Daconi, Head of Disease Prevention and Control of OKU District Health Office Andi Prapto,  S.KM., M.M.

“We are happy to be able to help and protect the community. It is our duty to always provide protection and safety. Especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic conditions,” said Tan Kurniawan.

These activities are the embodiment of commitment and concern of Kodim 0403 OKU in protecting the health of the government at the hands of the government in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Also provide benefits for the people around.

SMBR Receives the ICONOMICS CSR AWARDS 2020 Award

PALEMBANG – Semen Baturaja won an award at the Iconomics CSR Award 2020 with the title “Covid-19 Emergency Response Initiative – Medical Health Support” This event was held virtually on Friday (04/12). Iconomics gives Appreciation to companies that have carried out their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

The award was received symbolically by Harrie Cahyanto as Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) virtually. The event was opened by Bram S Putro as Founder & CEO of Iconomics.

Bram S Putro said that his party gave awards to the best companies in Indonesia that carried out CSR activities that were right on target for people affected by the Covid -19 Pandemic in accordance with the Company’s CSR strategy.

The assessment conducted by Iconomics is based on research conducted since January 2020 through Corporate CSR Activities, media monitoring, and a voluntary approach to corporate social responsibility.

Semen Baturaja to Push for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ Productivity amidst Covid-19 Pandemic

PALEMBANG – The Company of Semen Baturaja (SMBR), through the State-owned Business Enterprises’ Creative Workshop of Baturaja, is pushing for proprietors of small and medium businesses during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in order to help revive their productivity.

Small and Medium-sized enterprises has an important role within Indonesia’s economic cycle. During the middle of pandemic, a lot of business owners’ struggled as their revenue got affected negatively.

“We (Semen Baturaja) are doing our best to stimulate the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and also rekindling their spirit to help improve the economy”, as stated by the Vice President Corporate Secretary of SMBR, Basthony Santri.

Since 1991, SMBR has had committed to distribute partnership fund that could be used to fund many business proprietors. Until recently, there are already more than 2000 listed small and medium enterprises which have become the company’s development partners.

Semen Baturaja not only merely helps funding business; the company also routinely organized various management, creativity, and promotional training programs while actively socializing about how small and medium businesses should be capable of self-adjusting and become more responsive in looking up business opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Through the Baturaja Creative Workshop, we are helping business owners to learn on how to make face masks; a commodity that is urgently demanded by society as of right now”, he added.

SMBR has also involved its development partners to produce non-medical cloth face masks which are donated to several Covid-19 Task Forces in their respective region, such as: Palembang city, Baturaja city, and the province of South Sumatra.

Other than that, other form of support that the company has provided to small and medium business owners is the organizing of various training programs through video conference in accordance to the Covid-19 standard health protocol. The training subject that was being taught is also appropriately fitting with the current situation, such as “Branding Amidst the Pandemic”, “Content Marketing Strategy”, “Copy Writing”, and “Financial Digital Reporting”.

SMBR through its Creative Workshop has also collaborated with the Indonesia’s Gapura Digital Google Team in holding a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) class for small and medium business owners that are listed as the company’s development partners. The class was held to help small and medium business owners in reporting any possible hindrances they encountered during the middle of Covid-19 pandemic while also providing ideas and advices to resolve problems faced by their fellow business companions with the help of a facilitator.

During this year (2020), SMBR also worked with the OKU GO Indonesia as one of its development partners in marketing its business products. OKU GO Indonesia is an application created by the young generations of South Sumatra that provides local bike transportation and food and beverage delivery service online. Due to Covid-19 pandemic that demands people to maintain Physical Distancing, the products of small and medium businesses that are also the development partners of Baturaja’s Creative House have been made easier to market and extend its sales territory.

Many efforts have been comprehensively done by SMBR in terms of funding, production, and product marketing to help push small and medium businesses’ productivity in order to guarantee the program’s success. “Our hope within this program is to resurrect the small and medium businesses and the economy of Indonesia” he noted lastly.

SMBR Held Disinfectant Spraying Program in Areas Near Ring I of Baturaja Plant to Prevent Covid-19

BATURAJA – In the effort to prevent the spreading of Covid-19, Semen Baturaja, through their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Program, has conducted disinfectant spraying for districts and villages situated near Ring I of Baturaja Plant. The CSR program is an act of consideration by SMBR in supporting the government’s attempt to manage the infection of Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the OKU region. The spraying was done on 8 points that include 2 villages and 6 districts, they are: Laya and Pusar village, and the districts of Suka Jadi, Batu Kuning, Saung Naga, Tanjung Agung, Air Gading, and Talang Jawa. The disinfectant spraying has been conducted since 28 May until 3 June 2020 in several public facilities such as: official residences, police department offices, religious institutions, and public schools.
