PALEMBANG – Semen Baturaja has held the Motorcycle Mechanic Certificate Training on Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Plaju, Palembang. The training took place from 28 October until 3 November 2019.

The training was attended by 20 participants, in which all of them are locals of Ring I Semen Baturaja plant from both Baturaja and Palembang branch.

The Human Resource and General Director of Semen Baturaja, Amrullah, officially opened the start of the training program. The Head Section of Maritime Industry, Transportational Devices, and Defense Articles Directorate from the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia Republic, Toga Simamora, and the Head of Technical Service Region of Astra Motor Palembang, Achmad Wahyudi Irmono, were also present during the grand opening.

This training is a realization of Semen Baturaja’s CSR program that is aimed towards the locals living nearby the Ring I of Semen Baturaja’s plant who are perceived to possess the potential of becoming skilled mechanics.

The company hopes that through the training and coaching of this program, it could give rise to the birth of new automotive entrepreneurs in Baturaja and Palembang cities.

PALEMBANG– The Company of Semen Baturaja will supply the cement necessary for the development of welfare housing in South Sumatra.

The collaboration between SMBR with South Sumatra Social Welfare CSR Forum is being listed within the memorandum of understanding signed directly by SMBR Main Director, Jobi Triananda Hasjim, with Social Welfare CSR Forum of South Sumatra, July Rianthony. The procession was being observed firsthand by the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru.

The signing of the memorandum was done in the Ballroom of Hotel Aryaduta in Palembang, on Tuesday, 21 October 2019. The memorandum shall be operational upon signing and will have duration of 5 (five) years.

Jobi has stated that with the existence of this agreement, SMBR will become the sole supplier of the cement necessities, either sack of cement or bulk cement, while also providing concrete bricks for the housing construction that is planned to start on 2020.

The plan, as initiated by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of Republic of Indonesia  together with South Sumatra Social Welfare SCR Forum, will aim to build 1172 (one thousand one hundred seventy two) housing units for Palembang city and 800 (eight hundred) units for the region of Banyuasin district.

“We will always strive to contribute in every kind of construction projects in South Sumatra, it is our pride and joy in knowing people there recognizing our (SMBR) hard work“, Jobi added.

The cement product manufactured by SMBR has been tested and guaranteed in its quality to be used for various government and private companies’ infrastructure development projects in South Sumatra, such as Light Rail Transit (LRT), toll roads, bridges, and even harbors constructions.  

“Maintaining this specialty is our priority so that SMBR can always become the primadonna of cement in South Sumatra”, as he proudly state.

The Social Welfare CSR Forum itself was established to coordinate, initiate, facilitate, and synergize the potential of business performers, social institutions, higher academic institutions, and citizens in order to optimize the implementation of social responsibility in the world of business within the realization of social welfare policies as an effort to hasten the objective attainment of social welfare development.

PALEMBANG – Semen Baturaja just recently has provided emergency relief and response for the victims of fire situated in the area of Tangga Buntung, Gandus district on Friday, 18 October. The fire incident has incinerated at least 30 houses.

The aid, which was allocated from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, is in the form of money donation and food supplies. The donation was directly presented by the VP Corporate Service Management, Ade Chitra, to around 85 families that have become victims of the incident. We hope that the donations can prove to be helpful for the victims of the fire. 

PALEMBANG – Through the CSR program, Semen Baturaja has collaborated with Astra Honda Motor (AHM) to once again arrange Entrepreneurship Training Program concerning “Motorcycle Mechanic Certification and Training”. The training program was held today on Thursday, 10 October in Semen Baturaja’s central office located in Palembang and is being attended by the locals of Ring 1 Kertapati village.

The training was directly being taught by Awi, the representative of Astra Honda Motor, Toga Simamora, from the Ministry of Industry, and also Ari Aryadi, from the Institute of Motorcycle Mechanic Certification Training.

The training program serves as a form of contribution from Semen Baturaja towards the locals living nearby the company’s plant whose aim is to educate and improve the local economy and competitive quality index, particularly in terms of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) startup.
